Democrats won the midterm battle
Democrats won the 2020 battle and inserted Biden with corruption.

Set, point, match...Democrats.
He got very little done because he doesn’t know how to build a coalition, doesn’t know how to compromise, and throws his own team under the bus faster than anyone I’ve ever seen.

Anyone who has read his book on the art of the deal knows exactly how he “negotiates.” And it’s fine when there can be winners and losers . But in our government, the gap can’t be that large and he didn’t understand that.

There really isn't compromise anymore. Is there compromise on flooding the country with illegals and Muslims? Either you support grooming kids, sterilizing and mutilating the sexual organs of kids, or you don't. Either that's OK with you, or it's not. There isn't really a gray area, or compromise. Either you want America to be energy independent, from sources that are dependable, or you don't. No compromise there. Those are just a few issues. There really aren't any deals to be had there. You're dealing with people who are literally diametrically opposed to what you want. There's no compromise opportunity, just the question of, which side can wrest power and implement their agenda by EO, for as long as they have power.

The "dealmaking" that is left is for the Congress to do the old, "you support my pork, I'll support your pork." Cash grabs. Emptying out the till. That's the only dealmaking that is even possible anymore.

Nope. The problem was the republicans bought into the russia russia russia bullchit. It cost them any legislative achievements. It cost them the midterms. And likely had a role in the 2020 general.

Folks need to understand...

Trump was a noob in the DC game. He's used to being the leader and others cooperating. He assumed (and has stated it many times) that people would cooperate.

He's a gung-ho get R done kinda guy. DC does not work like that. Everything is corrupt and unless you play the corrupt game nothing gets done.

And somehow he is going to work some magic and be able to do stuff in his second term that he wasn't able to do during his first term despite being a lame duck on day one?

It's just not logical.

YES, but hopefully he has had it with the DC BS and will just stick the upper 4 levels of the greatly offending departments on leave, and promote some folks who agree with his approach, then when things improve, manage to fire/let go the offending old upper echelon .......OR get them DEAD somehow.....

saving a billion a year right off the bat......

Well the list of R's running keeps growing:

List of Republican candidates
Larry Elder (R), a talk radio host and 2021 California gubernatorial candidate, announced his candidacy on April 20, 2023.
Nikki Haley (R), former U.N. Ambassador and South Carolina Governor, announced she would run on February 14, 2023.
Asa Hutchinson (R), former Arkansas Governor, announced he would run on April 2, 2023.
Vivek Ramaswamy (R), entrepreneur and political commentator, announced his campaign on February 21, 2023.
Tim Scott (R), a United States senator from South Carolina, announced his candidacy.
Corey Stapleton (R), former Montana Secretary of State, announced he would run on November 11, 2022.
Donald Trump (R), former U.S. President, announced he would run on November 15, 2022.

For the D's, they have:
Joe Biden (D), incumbent president of the United States, announced he would run for re-election on April 25, 2023.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (D), a lawyer and author, announced he would run on April 5, 2023.
Marianne Williamson (D), 2020 presidential candidate and author, announced she would run on February 23, 2023.

What scares me the most if Joe was to pass away, we are then stuck with cameltoe Harris, which brings up another question: will Joe retain her or pick someone else? I don't care so much because I don't vote for D's, but it would be fun to see the outcome if Joe was to pick someone else.

I like Trump, but he needs to keep his personal attacks at bay and stick with the issues, and what he accomplished when he was pres. If he continues with the personal attacks, I doubt he will win the nomination for the R's.

At this point any accomplishments are second to exposing and gutting as much of the corruption as possible.

Trump gets in and he won’t be concerned about another term. So it’s ****ing scorched earth bay-bee.

You may be right, but his past indicates he is easily tricked/convinced to hire and support many of the corrupt folks that many of us want to see unemployed or in jail.

We're not in a dictatorship so his powers will be limited. Sure, he can get on TV or twitter or TS and call out people, but that will result in nothing.

The simple fact is that he can't gut the corrupt deep state alone. DeSantis has a better chance of getting help doing it.

We need someone to fix it by promoting an agenda that will get the people behind new candidates. We don't need to set the country back decades by gutting it and starting over. If we did we certainly don't need someone with Trump's logic and intellect in charge of the rebuild. IMO

I liked it when Trump got other nations to pay their fair share to NATO.

So much truth. Career politicians don’t solve a whole lot of problems.

That's crap. Anyone backed by Paul Ryan, who obstructed Trump for 2 years, and also Jeb!, AND Karl Rove, well sir, that's a guy who you definitely can trust to NOT be owned by special interests. That I can tell you.

More than any dem president even attempted with those countries that were supposed to pay their fair share to NATO. A step forward is better than the U.S. paying the majority when others aren’t.

Guess it all depends on what you find acceptable. Dems and rinos accomplishing little to nothing for the good of the citizens or someone who tries, accomplishes some while being stabbed in the back at every turn.
