I booked a room though expedia last week and had to cancel. I canceled via expedia and they never told the hotel. The hotel charged me for the room as expedia did not tell them. Won't be using expedia again.

The longest I've ever done is 9, maybe 10 days...a week is just about right in my book.

I just decided to pull the trigger on a first class "Delta one" upgrade. Might as well end the trip with a comfortable 9.5 hour flight!
Good call doing the upgrade! I'm with you on the length of vacations. 7 days is about my max.

When I realized that the seats recline down into a bed, I was sold.

Longest flight I've ever had was Tokyo-Atlanta. I was up front with the lie flat seats. We took off, had a great meal with wine and dessert, then I made the bed and slept for 8 hours. I woke up, looked at my watch and realized we still had 7 hours to go. I felt sorry for the cattle in the back of the plane, but only for a few minutes.

Most of our flights are 3 hrs +/-, so I don't worry about upgrading too much. Usually I'll go from cattle class to peasant class to get a few more inches of legroom.

On longer flights, yup it makes total sense.

FC is the only thing that makes flying tolerable. Doubly so for international flights.

Well, yeah, if you want to spend your life not exploring much beyond where you life. Some of us like to travel the world to see and experience things we can't do here. It's impossible to drive to those places.

And if you know what you're doing airplanes, hotels and rental cars aren't bad at all. Airports suck no matter what you do, but there are a few that are much worse than others and should be avoided at all costs.

Better practice your Arabic before you go, so you can communicate with the people. And your wife will probably need to buy some hijabs now, and practice wearing them, so she seems comfortable wearing that garb in Scotland.

Humza Yousaf confirmed as Scotland's new first minister

Humza Yousaf becomes Scottish first minister

Humza Yousaf has been confirmed as Scotland's new first minister after a vote in the Scottish Parliament.

The SNP leader was backed by his own MSPs and the Scottish Greens - guaranteeing him a majority.

All three opposition leaders stood against him but knew they had no prospect of being successful.

Mr Yousaf, who succeeds Nicola Sturgeon, is the country's sixth first minister and first from an ethnic minority background.

He is also the youngest first minister at 37, and the first Muslim to lead a major UK party.

Following the vote, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak phoned Mr Yousaf to congratulate him.

He said he wanted to continue "working constructively with the Scottish government" to deliver on what he argued were the "people's priorities across Scotland, including the need to half inflation, delivering growth, and cut waiting times."

Mr Yousaf raised the question of a second independence referendum, but Mr Sunak suggested this would "distract" from "delivering on the things that are top of the priority list for people across Scotland".

Chelsea Clinton is on the board of Expedia, seriously, she is....and somebody has to pay her bullsh!t salary.
