Crazy Corvette related coincidence

A coworker I have worked closely with for about 15 years had her step dad pass away recently. The night before the funeral service, I pulled up the obituary to verify the time and noticed that the local Corvette club was listed as one of his hobbies.
My parents were active in Corvette clubs in South Florida and again in the Tampa Bay area after relocating in the early 90's, so I sent my mom an email with a link to the obit to see if they knew the guy. Sure enough, they were actually close enough friends that my parents attended their wedding.
I mentioned this to my co worker's mom after the services, and she introduced me to some other people my parents knew through that connection.
It is crazy that someone I refer to as my work wife and I have worked so closely over the years and had no idea. It's definitely a small world out there.
