For the first time in over 2 weeks, i slept really well last night.

I was tired, so i tucked myself in just past 9pm, didn't wake up for any reason until just past 5am.....zzzzzzzzzz......ah, that felt good.

off to see my lawyer this PM to talk estate shit (i'd rather be in my shop or posting here..).

before you leave this morning, tell your wife you love her and give her a kiss (big messy one if possible), and when you get back home, repeat. with a big hug too. you can be nekkid for that one if you wish.

Well that was easy.

Visited my lawyer this afternoon, he remembered Linda from the last time we were in his office long ago. Kind words about her were nice.

given that we were married, and he has the original will, only thing he as to do is file a notice with the county clerk to get the property title changed to me only, and i'll complete paperwork for her Roth IRA and also get the bank account changed to me only down the road. and that's it. no probate required, i'll pay valid bills as they come in, so....Yay!

good hour long chat, he recently lost some friends and family, so he could relate well to my grief. pair of "tough" guys crying in the conference room.... (no body saw us, right?).

drafting a new will for me and new POAs for me too. and I have a little homework to complete to fill in the blanks.

at his suggestion, i treated myself to a new gun this afternoon, he said i needed to take care of myself too. have the coin, may as well enjoy it.

I've been reading some books the last week or so that I thought might be helpful, and so far, most have not been.

But last night, i'm nearing the end of one, and I came across this short paragraph:

Love this....MC and I have talked about this very subject, apparently I do pretty good at meeting those expectations, most days....but there are times she struggles to understand the parts of me that drive me to wear crazy looking clothes, listen to my wild music, and sing out loud even if we are out in public places. Marriage takes a little grace as well

I look at her and see all the things she does to make me and our children better each day.

And out of the blue the UPS guy showed up today, with a box addressed to me. hmmm...didn't order anything, not expecting anything, but he hands me a box with my name on it.

what is this???

no idea.

bring it inside, open it up, no note, no card, no idea who sent it, but it's lovely. now sits on my dining room table. a little arrangement of fake flowers - flowers that won't die and that I don't have to remember to water! perfect.

so if someone here did this, thank you very much.
