Thanks for the link, I'll definitely keep my eye out for some of those.
A couple I've already been looking for. I'm really liking the Booker's small batch I picked up recently. ~ $60 |

It's a bullshit list if 40 Creek isn't on it.

Of those I've had Blantons. It's what turned me into a whiskey drinker.

Personally I think Wild Turkey 101 is one of the best balanced whiskys within a normal mans budget. Have a brand new bottle in my cabinet now. I like that the list isn't full of $500 snob juice.

Any new whiskey I try, I have it neat first. If I do decide to dilute it, I only use a single ice cube (filtered water) and vary the pour accordingly.

I have a bottle of Blantons in my bar now. I noticed that Elija Woods didn't make the list.
I'm going to have to try the others on the list. Probably can't get some of those at Bev Mo. Ahhh but a drive to the 'Duke of Bourbon' in the San Fenando Valley will be quite rewarding. |

Four Roses Small Batch - Check.
Blanton's - Check. Old Forester - Check. Woodford Reserve - Check. Maker's and Maker's 46 - Check. Blanton's and Four Roses are probably my favorites that are affordable. Though I'll drink Jack, Jim Beam, or whatever when I go out and do a bourbon/coke kind of thing. If I'm drinking it straight, I'm going with the good stuff. Ironically, it took a rum produced in Tennessee for me to like drinking bourbon/whiskey straight or on the rocks. Their private stock Rum is ridiculously good (and I DO NOT LIKE RUM!). They do have a bourbon, but until they are doing it all themselves, I'm holding off on it. Currently, I have Jack, Wild Turkey 101, Makers Mark, Four Roses, and some Blanton's in my cabinet. Sometimes the choices are just too tough. I got the WT101 as a dirty santa gift. Even better! |
