Nobody gets it until you take the plunge. I started buying box wine as a joke to show people how frugal I am.

It's a lot more common these days due to the cork shortage a few years ago.

Not sure why you're pissed, all i said was that the preserving qualityies of the bag don't really come into play for me.

And I'm no wine snob, far from it.

And I worked for Diageo for a long time, if you want to compare credentials

Natural corks now are shit. Almost every one lately leaves a reminder in the bottle.

I’m no Sommelier. If you are, my apologies. But the number of people I have shown how new technology wine/beer preservation is better than corked bottles is huge.

Yup, I'm not disagreeing with you on the preservation stuff. I was saying that if the product isn't good going into the bag, then the bag is just preserving a not - good product That's all. And I was calling myself a wine-o by saying if I open a bottle, there's not going to be any left to recork hahahaah

And no, not a sommelier, I know more about Scottish brown liquor than fermented grapes by a long shot. (And Guinness )

For any of you who are Scotch drinkers, here's a handy Scotch chart you can reference regarding the flavor of the scotch. It was a give away we did for shows and customers.

I’ve got a few wanna be sommeliers that come to my house for dinner. Everything is in carafes so they are always on point trying to figure me out. 😂

I solve that easily:

When friends arrive i uncork a "#1" bottle or 2 and get the BAL up on everyone.

Then I quietly switch over to #2 and if everyone is hammered and can't taste it anyway, I break out the #3 bottles. Especially if people are just drinking for sport, no point in wasting the good stuff on a bunch of drunks lol

There's a new chain of liquor stores around here called Total Wine & More.

The place is HUGE. and by huge i mean HUGE. each aisle is a different type of wine or liquor, not just a shelf, I'm talking an aisle!!

The entire rear of the store is refrigerated cases for beer and chilled wines. The place is the size of a medium sized supermarket like Stop and Shop.

www.totalwine.com , i've never seen a liquor store like it.

This is an example of the whiskey aisle:

Total became who they are by selling massive quantities of cheaper booze on the delaware side of the pa border.
