Ever get unexpected freebies?

So a couple months ago, I went to the car wash and when I pulled up to the kiosk, the gate opened before I could tap my credit card. There was an attendant nearby and he said "Go ahead, you have the wash pass."

I don't, but the kid said the machine read my plate and it says I do. OK...

I went through a couple times after that and paid as usual. I always decline the monthly subscription offer.

Last week...probably the last time for the car wash now that global warming season is back, I got another free wash. The screen said "processing wash pass."

The sporadic savings of $17 is defiantly life changing.

Is this theft? Am I going to hell for this?

Anybody else run into something like this?

Aside from Mrs. V, I can't think of a single person who knows I go there and I know she didn't buy it.

And if somebody did do that, wouldn't they tell me?

A couple weeks ago at the VA, I received a 2nd pair of hearing aides from the factory by accident. So we set them up along with the others. No point in returning as they are a custom fit. Nobody else can use them.

About $4k a pair.
