What is your favorite "Football" food?

My moms poppers. She gaave the recipe to my wife and now my wife has it hidden from me. She knows I have some kick ass grub I make so she has that one for her repertoire.

I know it involves bacon, cream cheese, and shrimp.

Cut the jalepenos the long way. Half strip of bacon is suitable for each half jalepeno. I prefer the thick cut and I avoid any "flavored" bacon.

Guy at work makes something similar. Fills the jalapenos with cheese then places them end to end on a 2-3" wide 1/2 inch layer of Jimmy Dean sausage. Rolls up the sausage around the peppers to encase them. Finally he rolls them in corse corn meal. Bake in oven for 30 min. at 375* cool and slice in 1/2" rounds.

He calls them armadillo eggs. They're very good.

We've made Little Smokies just covered with BBQ sauce and those go like hotcakes at a game party too.

We go to a Christmas party every year and one of our favorites is meatballs in equal parts of Chili sauce and grape jelly - they are so good. Gozar has changed the recipe a bit - less jelly and more spice - even better.

A few years ago when the Patriots were in the SB, the guy in our car group who hosted the SB party in his family room with his new big screen TV had the outside deck set up with cheap plastic chairs and a sign that read "Special Seating for Patriots Fans"
