Getting back to reality.....Have you ever built anything before....Do you have the tools and the know how.If you don't,do you have friends who do.

You won't believe how many of these projects are started and never completed.My advice is buy one already built as most of these cars sell for less that what's in them.......

I plan on picking up a 68-72 Cutlass or Skylark within the next few years, probably a convertible. They are alot more reasonable than a Chevelle, and you can still find them as nice driveable stock cars that haven't been hacked up by a high school kid years ago.

Same As 64 65 Le mans - THE H.A.M.B.
Looks like a good deal... you could toss a V8 in it and it looks like it could be a 'cheap' fixer upper.

Yeah, you can take a Tempest and badge it like a GTO, put the big V8 and put on the hood, but it won't ever be a real Goat. Another thing is that you can buy a nice original car for 10K and then bust your ass fixing it up, spend another 10-15 K easily and only be able to sell it for 12-14k.
It has to be something that you really, really enjoy doing or you will lose your ass.
My advice is to find a nice restored hotrod that somebody has already dropped 25-30K into and drive it and enjoy it. There isn't anything that will spoil your love for a car more than constantly having to work on it and never getting it finished and just keep dropping more and more money into it.

Not my style. I would never clone a car.

I would however debadge it slam it and drop a v8 in enjoy it as a weekend driver.

I have been looking at 71-72 Plymouth Satellites but they have all been cloned to Roadrunners, and even the Roadrunners have been subjected to cheesification with wings, spoilers, hood scoops and stripes. I did find a nice 72 Roadrunner with no wings, scoops or spoilers or roof stripe but it did have the nose stripe.

What exactly are you looking for and how much do you want to spend. My brother in law has alot of mopar connections (has a 69 Charger).
