WASHINGTON — NBC News has confirmed that William Daley will be the next White House chief of staff. Two administration officials have also confirmed the report to The Associated Press.

President Barack Obama has chosen Daley, a former commerce secretary, to replace interim chief of staff Pete Rouse.

Rouse, who did not want to stay in the job and recommended Daley for it, will remain at the White House in a senior position as counselor to Obama.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because Obama has not yet made the announcement. Obama is expected to do so later Thursday.

The chief of staff is considered one of the most important and influential jobs in American government.

Daley comes from a dynastic Chicago family of politics. He is now a banking executive for JPMorgan Chase.

I'm quite confident that BHO goes out of his way to find THE most incompetent and corrupt people ever to field his cabinet. Napolitano, Duncan, Jarret, Axelrod, Van Jones, etc., and now Daley. Doesn't BHO know anybody outside of Sh1t-cago?

OH, on the MOST important day of anyone's life, similar to taking the OATH OF OFFICE for PREZ/USA....he can't even do it right...much less coach the SC Chief Justice if necessary...???
