Been going there for the past 35+ years, but not this year. I think last year was my final time. Burnt out on the crowds and traffic jams.

Most of the buyers in the auctions and the people involved in this event are not affected by whatever the current state of the economy is. They are beyond wealthy. One family, about 4 or 5 years ago, donated their late father's '67 Ferrari NART special to the auction for charity. Gave the car away. It sold for 25 or 27 million dollars. Didn't even blink their eyes. These are ballers that are a cut above the 118k guys we aspire to be.

Most coveted auction car, $125+M sat at The Swap Shop for many, many years, when it comes to auction it will SMASH the record by over 100%, maybe 200%.

All other cars are chump change.

whatever price they got at auction for the charity was a tax write off no?
