Got my vette out today for the first time in months...
Washed it up, put air in the tires and drove it around. Got home, my wife was back from work. Asked me "So, did you put the stickers on your license plates that have been sitting in your office since October?"
Uh, no. They're on now. She still cleans up nice. Haven't put any Zaino on in so long, probably 5 years. Hate that I have to run a front tag here but they would have pulled me over 50 times by now. |

Nice looking C5.
I've been doing some legwork on mine (73) last couple of days. Sent the carb back to AED yesterday, just sent all my info over to Adam Boca for the insurance renewal (Switching from State Farm to NCM). Still need to work out my fuel line issues and take it to the exhaust shop. Red Corvettes FTW! |

Indeed! The only issue I have currently is my passenger door lock is manual-only and my CD changer is acting up for the first time, probably just need to eject it and re-insert the magazine. Other than that this old 2002 is running great. Only has about 17,500 on it.

Damn, you gotta get out and drive her more. Of course I've only driven mine twice this past year for a total of ~40 miles.
My '04 just turned 90k Scott

I've been thinking about dumping the C5 for one of 2 options. 1. Old muscle car that has been upgraded to modern specs 2. Newer 4 door go fast lux toy Scott

I sit in mine for a couple hours per day. It even has a working park brake now that I replaced the lever mechanism last night. Going to miss the teeth marks on the old handle though. Sentimental value. Just about to click over 15,0000 in the next couple weeks.

I really wish I could have brought mine down here with us.
Tandem trailer with the boat up front and C5 behind? Vice versa? Scott

I'm going to make a concerted effort this week to drive it. My other vehicle is in the body shop getting a few dings and dents fixed. Tires are OEM and the rears are essentially slicks.

I have to run a front plate too, and can tell you from experience that if you get the plate surround paint matched, it enhances the plate big time. I'll bet you could even spray the one you have with the proper Duplicolor, and it would look ten times better.

I might have done that several years ago but I'll probably be selling it this year. That's the first time I've heard of that though, interesting.

I just shove my front plate on the dash, with a wadded up t-shirt to hold it up flush with the windshield on the passenger's side. Haven't been stopped yet, but I'm a low mileage Vette owner, too.
