so i had gotten Mrs. DAB two cards last week, a funny one, and a serious one. two days later we go back to town so she can get me a card. i'm chased out of the store while she shops.

we exchange cards (and a present for me) this morning, she opens the funny one first, so far, so good.

i open my card....uh, oh, this looks familiar....she opens her serious card....yep, we got each other the exact same card.

i also got a real nice, big coffee mug with a quote from Thoreau (one of my favorite authors).

got a hug and a kiss too!!

time to go painting. dinner out later.

Nah, it was very nice. Spent a few hours with Buzz but it was pouring so couldn't do anything but feed him carrots and brush him a little bit after Wendy and Mark got back from the hay run and my guest and I helped toss hay bales. And NO I did not force the chucking of hay bales onto my guest he joined in (which was very kind of him to do)

Well LG, we had our Canada Day holliday on Friday, always on July 1st, and it was really hot so I hung out at home in the cool and watched all the festivities on the tube. Duke and Dutchess were here, as well as 300,000+ people on Parliament Hill....

Kelly, why the unpaid holiday? Is your back bugging you?

Boxing Day is the day after Christmas! And supposedly that came from bloody-old England when people were packing up stuff in boxes to take home from celebrating with relatives, or taking stuff back to stores to exchange.

If youv'e heard it regarding Canada Day, is just means the day after the party, or as I call it hangover day!

Mark was on the trailer unloading it. I think Wendy said they got about 100 bales. Heck, I think Mark was aiming for me!

He was chucking them faster than we could put them away. He kept the 3 of us busy!!

No, I haven't heard it referred to as Canada Day just wondered what Boxing Day was

another version of boxing day: the day after Christmas when the owners would present boxes containing small gifts to the staff. often recycled items or hand me downs.... you don't get to own a mansion if you pay your staff too much.
