Cleaning paint off concrete.
I have some white paint that was spilled onto the concrete at my investment property. It's been there for a couple of months.
A pressure washer will get that up without an issue right? |

Depends on the paint and the PSI of the washer. I'd say if you have a 3000 psi machine the answer is "probably". You will want to use the zero degree nozzle.

Heavy Duty oven cleaner will also eat paint pretty well. Plus, you can get it for cheap at a Dollar Store and their brand label. If it is super stubborn. You can also hit it with a MAPP gas plumbers torch.

Is it smooth concrete, like you would expect in a shop floor...or coarse, like you would find on a patio, or sidewalk?
If its coarse, Ive had luck going with a narrow width nozzle on a 3000psi unit, and getting down super low and letting it peel it up...being careful not to let the water gouge the cncrete. If its smooth style, Ive used paint stripper (tal=strip aircraft coating remover) and a power washer on wide tip... |

Dawn dish washing liquid lifts many stains off concrete
Including paints and oils Just apply it heavy straight from bottle and let it soak. I've let it soak for days, often wait for rain to do the rinse. Otherwise go with the muriatic acid. If you do, wet the entire slab...then apply the acid over the entire slab. Lightly scrub the affected area with a stiff brush. Sometimes, you have to lightly brush the whole slab to have a consistent finish when dry. And, lots of rinse with water...gotta remove the acid or it will continue to etch the slab. Pics of slab / affected area? |
