Massey-Fergusons are good tractors. How many HP, and how wide is the bushhog? (Please say at least 40 HP and 6'....) You will find that you can't live without it. BTW, a well-sharpened bushhog makes a pretty good finish mower. I mow the 5 acres in my "Outer" (across the driveway) front yard that way, and it looks fine.

It's quite hard to add ROPS to a tractor. Lots of welding and finding a good place to weld to. Unless you have some steep slopes or you are inclined to pull stumps with a chain, you don't really need one.

If you're going to add a ROPS, then you need to install seat belts. Otherwise, the purpose is pretty much defeated. Just don't use seat belts when the ROPS is lowered.
