Great Stainless Works Customer service
I have owned my 97' vette since buying it used in 2003. It came with a Stainless Works 3" x-pipe/ catback. I like to run this car hard and have driven/raced it from VA to Bowling Green to the "House of Hook" in SC and back to VA more than a few times
Over the last year during drive-line refreshes I noticed a very slight exhaust leak and rattle near the rear .....couldn't find it.....and finally just found the source. It is a 8" long crack in the passenger side muffler. Here are the pictures: I sent Stainless Works a detailed E-mail and asked about the lifetime warranty. I love the tone of this exhaust at WOT and that it helps hide the 417 CID stroker motor under the hood very well. It also breaths just fine allowing it to run 10.8s@125+mph in the 1/4 and 170+mph on a road course. The sound.........http://www.youtube.com/user/ATandNB#p/u/17/oRXIy6_kBaY After a few e-mails/phone discussions, I reasoned the DS muff would fail soon as well. They have NEVER seen this type failure.........neither have I!. I proposed they provide me under warranty a totally new cat back system at a reduced cost and I would send back my well used system for analysis once I installed the new one. I just got a nice package last Thursday! I want to thank Anthony, Heath, and Matt for getting this done in a timely fashion. To bad you don't make a 2" primary headers for a C5.....yet...... Customer service means a lot to me...........so I will definitely keep them on my short list of approved vendors to buy from. Steve |

Always good to read a story like this. You see too many bad CS stories these days.

Thanks for posting this up. I will keep them in mind if I'm ever in the market.
Your car sounds very good, tough yet subdued.

Steve.... I believe they do make 2" primaries... If I remember correctly they were making them for MTI in Atlanta.
