In Hong Kong on my way back to the states.

I honestly feel lucky to have been a part of this and look forward to my return to Bantayan. Tim is loved and respected by many of his neighbors and it shows when walking through the village. There are many foreigners there, but I never saw one of them wandering around with the locals and openly accepted by the villagers. Not saying that they aren't, but it is apparent that Tim himself is part of what makes Baigod a great community.

I will be back in a few months and again at Christmas next year. There is no place I would rather be than seeing the smiles and hearing the giggles if the children.

I asked a school teacher to assist me with having the children write Santa letters in English for what they want next year, so we will know to have more guns or cars or barbies.

Sorry guys, just now getting on the pics and going through them.

I spent my fist night back in the ER trying to get a small issue resolved - it appears I had a nice little parasite stowaway that has wreaked havoc on my body for the past week or so.

Not all water is filtered equal

Had a fever of 102 for a few days now and feel like there is a juicer in my stomach. Without getting too descriptive.

I just keep changing clothes and sheets when they get too wet from the sweat.

I have been drinking the water for years so am use to it I guess.


I can only guess that you did not include enough Rhum with your water to stay safe.


Seriously though Rob, I hope you feel better soon.

We made it home late Sunday from the city, and then the generator took a crap yesterday, but we have it running again now so I plan to get some more photos posted up soon also.

A few progress photos...

Things are going slow but everything is coming together with time.

I still can not get amakan! so am buying plywood for them now.


Ernings hut is finished all but the door.



Tata's about 5 days ago till today







Donnie has been working on his also.











Raquel's is coming along nicely



Marpong's is getting there too...





What there have been living in at the front of it.



Mira and Nonoy started on theirs today.



Nester and also the father of Napolean are starting on theirs too.



Inday & Roming started today.




Cocoys is all under roof and framed, but waiting on plywood that should be here tomorrow.

Dodong says he will be getting started tomorrow also.


Hope to get started on Tata's Mom's home soon.
