Well, out of the ordinary for the FDIC to make whole account holders with balances greater than $250K, this has been their rule since I can remember, was never higher.

BUT, now the rules have changed, SVB account holders over $250K will be made whole, NOT any other banks, just SVB.

So WHY, well one must first view the list of those SVB account holders with over $250K balances that will suffer the greatest losses.

Account holders will withdrawal upon notice of a financial institutions demise or poor upcoming financials.
Similar for equity buying when insider information is given.
This has happened a GAZILLION times in the past, very few have paid the price, almost none have been jailed.

I guarantee some depositers, and employees, were privy that the bank would fail very soon, and got out before the shit hit the fan.

No. The “exception” is actually pretty common practice. The reality so that once they liquidate, it much likely to be needed to be paid by others, and since it doesn’t come out of tax dollars, why do you care?
