Sitting in the airport, finally got my TSA Pre and kept my shoes on and computers in my bag, and I'm flying first class the entire trip. 11 days in Vegas with family, and NO WORK. God I can't wait to get there.

long ago, right after Caeser's Palace opened, with its grand fountains, a VIP was given a tour of the place. and he remarked on the grandeur of the new casino. the tour guide said "thank you" and also noted "remember, none of this was paid for with winner's money"

I drove by Area 51 for several days in a row when I attended Spring Mountain and stayed at my mom's place. I drove that same road that the Koenisegg set the top speed record in the Agera. That's a fun road, and boring at the same time.

I'm definitely net positive on Vegas gambling. Won about $750 once on a $1 slot, after putting in about six tokens out of the ten I had allocated at that casino. And using my entirely random and stupid roulette method I'm up at least $1500 in that. I basically break even or lose a little on craps because they always managed to get me just tipsy enough I'd started messing up. Funny how that works. I allow myself $100 per day gambling and when that's gone I'm done for the day. If I win some I will quit when I'm down to the original $100, and if I'm up-up I will quit when I lose a $100 bet because when I'm up-up that's what I'm betting on roulette.

I'd make it to day 3 and spend the rest of the time outside of Las Vegas. Of course, I don't gamble, don't smoke, and don't golf. Outside of New Years Eve festivities, LV has never been much of a draw for me.

Craig, I'm sure you've done it already, but I love going up to Mt. Charleston and eating at the restaurant there. I would imagine it is pretty cool right now, but the views are great. If my knees could handle it, I would hit the slopes there, but I'm afraid skiing is behind me unfortunately. That was one of my favorite things to do where I grew up. But atlas, my knees are shot, and I would probably kill myself. Guess I would have to get some exotic dancer from Spearmint Rhino to nurse me back to health, and oh...take all my money so she can per her tuition.
