LED headlights
I installed low beam LED headlights, and they work great. I dont use high
beams much but I am thinking about running a yellow bulb for high. Anybody run a mixed color headlight ...white low, yellow high? |

I don't, but I'm curious about which LEDs you chose, and how they perform. Do they have a vertical cutoff that's similar to the originals?

can actually drive at night and see the road. You know how the OEM stock lights are so poor. But in the day, we thought thats the way night driving was. Check it out. |

I installed the Octane LED's on my 62, in both inner and outer (comes as a 4 light kit) locations and I've been impressed. I didn't buy them for the price, but they're one of the lowest price kits on the market at the time. They bulbs look as close to T-3's as I could find.
No mods needed. Fit the buckets, stock harness plug fits perfect, just change the bulbs out. I don't drive at night, but nice to know I have them if needed. |

I installed Holley RetroBrights in my '64 TBird for the outer low-highs. They fit where the sealed beams where without cutting anything. They look very close to the sealed beams- what I was going for. Good cut-off and night driving is much improved.
They are pricey, so for the high beams I use Hella ECE spec lamps with 65 watt halogen bulbs. I power both using relays triggered by the original headlamp/ dimmer switch. That one modification will improve the lamp brightness on any classic car, because there is a lot of voltage loss in that circuit. |

thru Holly. Seven months later, I gave up waiting and went the other route. The Hollys are priced high, but, from what I have read, they are top quality. |
