Default Got Some Bright Shine Today

Yes, another Wednesday clay bar session. Car had been sitting for a while, had some built up crud on the surface, felt like a fine grit sand paper. Was going to buff, but tested a spot with claying, turned out great. No buffing, all clay barring.
Owner was quite happy.

I owned a 75’ and gaps were terrible. Replaced the body bushings which helped but still sketchy at best.

I knew some did; just wondered if all 78's had em.

No L48 or L82 on hood cowl.

Thought maybe Jeff seen (or lack of) something to identify it...he did have a ? after "79", so maybe he wasn't sure either, so, I asked.

78 was first year of bubble back, and 80 changed grill style.

I spent many hours on the 77 making them good... only place wasn't good was the front of the hood which stood uniformly 1/8 inch high... I could not see chasing that for a week on a $450.00 project car

Ya, my body guy told me what it would have taken to get the body correct on my '79 and I passed.
A lot of filler, sanding and a new paint job.
It would have cost more than the car was worth.
