Frame good? If so it could be a nice project. Probably a resto
mod with a salvage title. The expense of a NCRS rebuild would be a
waste with a tainted title.

Just the beginning of rust is visible at the VIN plate area of the A pillar… undercarriage is not bad but it’s out in the weather…. Worsening every day…

These things, and the incorrect L-88 hood means the whole body is basically shot. What would I offer? If the owner supplies the beer, I will attend a party at his house where I douse the car with gasoline and throw a match at it.

Doors, hood and T Tops ….might be salvageable.

But yes, flared, chopped, squared headlights, velour seats( but they do have rare headrests), on and on. So many mods….

Who knows the condition of motor and trans….?

Here where I am, it being an original 427 car, and having no apparent frame damage at all, it would be far from totaled and would never get a salvage title. A decent fiberglass man like DUB (RIP) could have that car repaired no sweat.
It looks much worse than it is, IMO.

Unfortunately, my forte is mechanical work, not body work. So cars like this, I would be upside down in, having to 'call the guy'.

My '61 was just the opposite: a well preserved, well-stored car cosmetically decent, but a non-runner needing engine, transmission, fuel, cooling, and brake system overhauls to put back on the road. I was able to do all that for less than 4k, with me doing all the work.

Same boat here. To me body work is the equivalent to being a sculptor. Mechanicals are a different animal. Everything we no was apart at one time. It can be done again.

American Racing - I've got a matching set that I removed when I did my frame off, ground up restoration of my 69. I do like the Hooker headers, however!

It's going to need a core support... goodby whole front end... needs a flare exorcism, sidepipe delete and a new set of wheels, plus whatever else is damaged or too tacky to retain. $5k if it runs/drives.
