Not sure if anyone followed up on that or not, probably a few Polish folk tried it.

But I have a solution that actually works: You must use Dial soap.

See how the bars are curved?

When the bar in the shower starts to get small and thin, I put a fresh bar beside it. When the time comes, and both are wet, I can rub them together vigorously and they will stick because of the curves. Other soaps that are flat don't work as well.

So I figure that in the past half-century, I've saved around $4.68 by doing this instead of throwing the slivers out.

I was aware of that. Mylar balloons, as well. Plus other plastic crap. Slewfoot is so typical of all of the liberals I grew up with....it was always virtue signaling and 'do as I say', while they did the opposite out of convenience or laziness, while ignoring their transgressions.
My family knew they were lying hypocrites. Slewfoot, by his statement, is simply too dense to realize it.

I have a great wife. We buy in bulk when we use a lot of it, and we only buy what we need for everything else (unless we're buying for preparedness, different subject all together). I would say if we burn money on anything, it's probably spices that we don't use. We have three shelves fill with spices, and we use like 5 of them...ever. I wouldn't be surprised if we have s30-40 Vietnam era unopened spice bottles in there.
