Mass Murder in Texas: San Antonio Area Church Attacked, at Least 27 Dead

The local news are reporting the murderer was shoot twice by the church's neighbor with a rifle - once in the leg and abdomen. The murderer also shot himself in the head after running off the road. Another local man had picked up the neighbor with the rifle and pursued him North of town guiding the police to their location.

They also said there is a video of the shootings from inside the church as it is the custom now for them to videotape their services. That would be hard to watch.

TThe FBI spokesman also made reference to the "no name" movement. This is where the reporting angencies stop using the name of and photo of the murderers. Asking the media to do the same. Maybe those who have done so in this thread can also go back and delete or edit those references as well and not do it in the future.

if the FFL had screwed up, you could be sure they would be undergoing a full audit right now, and likely lose their license.

but .gov screws up? so sorry, can we have more money to try to do this correctly next time? gov't has 2 basic jobs: protect the innocent, punish the guilty. really isn't that complicated.

The overnight reports changed the hits by the neighbor to 1st the murderers side (causing him to drop his rifle) and 2nd to the neck and a 3rd shot that was a miss (?) as he was running to his SUV.

Obviously still a fluid situation as to event occurence.

most sellers at gun shows are FFL dealers (maybe guys with small shops trying to empty their shelves), so they would have to do the same background check as the store did. and most responsible sellers who are not an FFL would want to see some ID before completing the transaction, or have a local FFL run the guy just to be sure. an ID like a current CCW permit would suffice for me.

I would think the the SecDef would have had a little meeting which went like this.

"How the F**k did this happen?" and "Make sure it ONLY happened once".

He's not known for mincing words and hold back on incompetence.

well, go back thru your files for the last 10 years and find all the court martials and verify that those have been properly reported to ATF.
