I only live about 8 miles from the beach so its not even hot yet, but I just noticed that my ceiling fan full speed doesn't work, but the medium speed is now full speed. I think the remote control is messed up and the circuit board needs to be cleaned off. I can still make it spin full speed so i guess I'm good.

My gas heater is on it's last legs- probably could get a great discount if I order one this summer. I should...but probably wont.

There is a rumor here that someone witnessed a bug fly out of the shade and burst into flames.

We're desert, so it's usually very low, but we've got some decent cloud cover right now so it's a bit higher. No rain mind you, just clouds.

I may pick up a window mounted swamp cooler and put it in a bedroom window as backup in case this ever happens again. We had refrigerated air put in back in 2006 and this is the first system failure.....but it HAS taught me a little lesson.

Air-Con makes you soft. I was down in Western Australia in 2009 working outside in 100 degree heat and we were complaining like girls. People always managed back in the old days and maybe only half of all houses even had A/C. Now they all have it.

I know my first truck didn't have any. I don't remember being too hot in it (except when we drove thru Death Valley once).

He went after me for noting some guy posted to a 5 year old thread
He did it to show he knows rules and regulations from the CF rules. You see he believes if a moderator sees him enforcing the rules he may become a moderator. He will NEVER be a moderator and WHO GIVES A FECK if he does?

He needs to learn basic computer rules like, posting pictures, spell check and to brush his teeth.

The good way to cheer Friz is with a good forum story. Hopefully, Corvettivorous or Plum would come and start gossip.

Friz, if it's just sleeping that you need you can get a window AC unit (110) at Lowes starting at $100 and just put it in your bedroom window. My dad lives in southern AZ and he turns his AC off at night and just uses the window unit in his bedroom. That way he doesnt' have to cool the whole house at night.

My parents used to have one of those. The only downside is they can be noisy, which may bother him because of his keen sense of hearing.
Look at that Friz, the VB crew all coming to your aid. You are truly blessed

I'm kind of getting annoyed at him. He is not responding to all of the hard work I'm putting into this thread. An occasional growl would be nice.
Hang on, I'm just going to check the temp. in EP...............................
Ah it's a nice and cool 96º and it's just past noon

Maybe he has dug a nice cool hole in the dirt under a tree and don't want to get out to check the forum.

Sorry, I forgot we were talking about west Texas where the trees look like bushes and the bushes tend to tumble around in the wind.
