GEICO insurance?

Anyone here using GEICO to insure your Vette? If so, do you know how the collector car insurance works? Things such as usage, mileage, etc. Any horror stories?

They are local here in San Diego area. I know a couple of people who work there. Anyhow, they used to be a small company that was just for gov't employees (not the general public), but now they are a big group that sells higher risk policies to the general public. They don't pay claims and like to use used parts as much as possible. Used parts aren't a problem for a 20 yr old car, but it is if you have a 2 yr old one.

I wouldn't use them except for a liability policy perhaps. I drive by their modest old bldg from 30 years ago and the sprawling Taj Majal campus they have now...I can assure you that they are profit driven and try very hard not to return money on claims.

I had Geico once and I agree with Mike. Once, I had a claim and their customer service is below average.

AAA is not the cheapest but, the convenience and customer service of AAA is 5 stars. The great about AAA is that for example you get into an accident, you dont have to wait for the agent to show. You call and you take your car to the authorized shops and they do all the leg work there.

Been with them for years, and unlike NCM Insurance, if I stop to get a haircut on the way to the beach, they will cover my car if something happens to it.

If you're in San Diego and haven't gotten with Wawanesa yet, you are throwing your money away! They are the best I've found yet!! Just wish they covered AZ too!! Dammit!

No frigging way I'd ever go back to Progressive. I was with them for a year or so then found out that Soros' group owns Progressive, so I dropped them like a hot rock and went to Wawanesa while still in SoCal. Now that I'm in AZ, I've since switched to USAA, very happy so far.
