The replies make me .

I agree that it's over the top. I also don't like the fender flares, body kit, bumper and hood, but overall I still like the truck. Just the size factor makes it fun to me. I'm not sure if I'd want to drive it daily though.

As far as money or resale value goes, that's a non-factor to these guys. The last F250 they had they donated to charity after a few years.

In general, I'm not a fan of any dealer or company conversion. This looks like the Ford version of the Silverado "Black Widow" package.

I don't want a "custom" truck that 100's of other people are driving as well.

Those FTX trucks are Absolutely hideous!!
I have a platinum white, same color as pictured, 11 f250, 3" lift with 35" tires and black 22" XD wheels. Looks 10x better. I also have mine tuned and deleted, right now its running about 550hp, and ~1100 ft lbs tq!!!

So then, why not just an F-250 with a lift kit? I don't understand that you don't like all that stuff, but still like the truck. What else is there besides the body kit? The stickers, faux chrome and window tint? That truck is the epitome of big buckle wannabee.

That's the way I would go.

Just because it's not the way I would do it, doesn't mean I can't like it. When I walked outside and saw it my immediate reaction was "I like it." Just the size of it was cool to me. He was parked behind my C1500 and it made it look like an S-10.

It's all clunky and chunky. Every part of it looks like an afterthought. I guess there must be a market for that sort of thing.

And a F450, for the love of all that's holy. Not a lowly F250!

*That truck could have "GENERIC" stamped on it in my neck of the woods. Only thing missing is the chromed diamondplate cab protector and toolbox. And just to be clear, if his neighbor is driving a new Merceedes E350, guess which ride was more expensive?

Conversion trucks are usually just pretty boy trucks that will never even see a gravel road.

While I prefer the stock (or close to it) look of the Fords and GMC's over the conversions, its to each his own. Never been a big fan of the ghetto chrome.

Ever tried to park one in an urban environment? Go through a drive through with one? Duallys are really a hindrance in the city. Plus, there's that old, "have a tire blowout, it's a $ 1,200 bill" thing.

I'm talking about when you blow out a rear tire, and take the rear fender with you.

Ahhh, but, thats why you have insurance.

OR

Buy a GM since the dually fender is stamped steel like the rest of the bed.

The more I look at the truck, the more I hate it. I was impressed with the overall size when I first saw it, so I wasn't checking out the details.

I absolutely hate the way all three trucks look in the picture Omega Man posted. The hood is ridiculous. The truck would look a lot better if you took half the shit off of it.

Mine...
Tires are 35x13.50-22 for reference, 3" lift, could have cleared 37's, but I still need to be practical.

I've had this one for almost 15 years. I never really felt the need to dress it up.
