Nothing really grandiose, just steaks/demi-glace/oven-roasted creamer potatoes/salad...dessert later on with a bit of champagne. Doggo-guest is still here, so she will ring in the New Year with some plain steak of her own also

Whenever I see doggo’s dad next, going to bring some black-eyed peas/ham/bacon and rice...I’m not a fan but it’s right up his alley

It's a PA Dutch tradition, you eat pork as it moves forward as it eats.

Grew up in Central PA and lived there until my 40s. Never was able to develop a
