Yay... red vert is giving me all the stupid C5 issues I never had with my Z06!
Last night I go to grab dinner and my rt headlight won't come up... so I pop the hood and raise it manually... it works fine after this.
Tonight go to head to the gym and it won't go up... try again... goes up fine... then put it down.... grindddddddddddddddddd. So for the fist time in 7+ years of C5 ownership (3 different cars) and 2 other C5s in the family I have a stripped headlight gear I'm going to swap the headlight motor out of my Z06 for now and order the brass replacement gear. Stupid car.

That is the suk. Good thing you have a parts car handy.
Hopefully you'll get the common probs out of the way and that will be the end of it.

That's what happens when you tell them you won't mod them. They get finicky.

Instead of doing all the work of swaping out the gear from the other car, you can buy a gear at autozone/advance auto.
Let me find the part#.... Found it at advance auto. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...R|GRP60004____ Last edited by tomurphjr; 04-08-2010 at 6:35am. |
