That would be me. Own a 17 V.
Haven't had much time to play with the weather being cold. It is just starting to warm up and I am able to play a little without shredding the tires. When it was 50 I would break the tires loose at 40, spun them once at 55 passing a car as well.
It is very comfortable and fun to drive. I took a trip to Louisville two weekends ago and averaged 20 MPG at about 85-90 average speed.

I'm going to go drive it tomorrow. I don't really want to get rid of the Z06 but its getting to difficult to get in and out of for me due to my sciatica problems.

For a fat pig of a car, the handling is exceptional. I've raced several at our venue...just no wagons.

I have a 2011 Coupe and it is a rocket. Performs better than expected on the twisties given the big butt and weight. Fun car.

The 17 handles much better than the 09 I had. Like I was saying earlier, haven't pushed much with the cooler weather. The power band on the new V is pretty amazing. The little I've pushed the car, yes it is heavy and pushes in a corner but for the size and weight of the car, it does well.

In that case... I have absolutely nothing of real value to add.

With that said, I have driven Vettes of various generations for most of my life. I've used them as daily drivers, raced them, and just about everything in between.

The Caddys are fast as hell. They drive like... well... a Cadillac with a rocket up it's ass. This is the reason that I owned 2 of them. My '11 was an auto. Took it to the drag strip and it walked right into the 11s on the same street tires that I used to drive to work. Not too shabby. All things considered, the handling is pretty impressive. They don't drive like big cars. They have great lateral grip, the Mag-ride performs flawlessly in sport mode. I drove my '14 from California to Ohio in complete comfort. The problem from my perspective is that everywhere other than the track it was just boring. Outside of the few times that you had a chance to put a big foot into the loud pedal, it was no different than driving around in an SRX. Being used to driving manual cars, I thought that might be the difference so I tried to remedy it with the '14 manual transmission car.

Nope.

I absolutely love the way they look (both 2nd and 3rd gen). The performance on paper is undeniable. They are a great car, but if you are looking to replace the Vette in your life, you may be a little disappointed. Or hell, maybe you like it more.

I replaced the wagons with a '99 Firehawk. It would get it's ass kicked all over a track but dammit, it's fun as hell to drive.

Thanks for your write up. I test drove it today and it is more pleasant to drive than the vette. I don't keep cars more than 3 years so I don't think I'll get too bored. I've owned so many vetts over the years probably close to 30 in my life and they have become boring to me as well. I like the seats inside the caddy and they fits my ass and back better than the performance seats of the Z06. Anyway I did the deal today for the caddy so I will be vetteless for the first time in my life.
