Maybe not a ghost story, but it scared the sheit outta me: One of my college Summer jobs was driving a truck-trailer to fill up bread trucks for their routes the next day. I drove at night. I was on a two-lane country road when I saw a woman in a dress and an old-fashion bonnet standing beside a speed limit sign. Only thing was, she was taller than the sign. I don't know exactly how tall those signs are...around 8-10'? No, I was sober and not sleepy.

Of course that hit of acid had nothing to do with it! I got nothing. Not a believer in ghosts.

How would you explain it? I was actually a responsible driver (if you can believe that!), and I swear I saw that woman. But nobody can be that tall.

I've had a few incidents, which definitely made me a believer...

Most recent one was two years ago. It was around 1 pm, and i was just sitting around watching tv when i heard noises from upstairs in my room, the noises kept on getting louder and louder, to the point that it sounded like a grown man was stomping around angrily and tossing stuff around in my room. I called my mom up, and she heard the noises through the phone, and she told me to leave the house because she said it sounded like somebody broke into the house.
When i came back, my room was untouched, no noises, no nothing.




Back 3 years ago i went on a roadtrip with my sister to california, drove along route 66. We stopped for one night in a motel in Tucumcari, New Mexico, off route 66.
The room we got was pretty odd, it looked like it used to be an apartment once because it had a kitchen and other parts that weren't being used. Everything in the kitchen was unplugged and it looks like somebody smashed the light bulb (it was exposed.) Didn't really think anything of it and after a long day went to sleep. In my dream i was laying down on the bed, but the kitchen light was on and there was a scary looking guy there, when he sees me he started charging towards me and i woke up. There were lots of noises in the room, constantly felt like somebody was whispering in my ear, so out of fear i put cartoons on, loudly, to try and drown the noise out, my sister even turned to me and told me to shut up already...(i wasn't talking)
So i try to cover my ears with the pillow and fall asleep again, i have the same dream except the guy got closer before i woke up. Again, frantic whispering in the room. The third time i fell asleep he got close enough to wrap his fingers around my throat and thats when i refused to go back to sleep again. I turned on all the lights and sat on the couch till it was morning.

I dont know the explanation. But there are a lot of reports of apparitions seen on the roads usually from people who passed away near that site.

My family bought a house when I was around 16. At that time the big fad was wearing western boots as I did that morning when I went to do some work.
We were renovating the house and I would go early in the morning and do some demo and small jobs to help out.

I walked in the front door and like usual I took off my boots and set them with the toes against the baseboard left on the left, right on the right and I proceeded to put on my runners and start working.

Later on that afternoon I was done for the day, changed my clothes and went to the front door to put on my boots.
Problem was the right boot was facing the wrong way and the heel was against the baseboard and the toe facing outwards.
I purposely always put the toes towards the baseboard so if anyone was around they wouldn't step on the toes and damage them.

Well, I guess you could say this freaked me out and I called everyone I knew and asked them if they were at the house that day. Everyone said no.

I told my mother what happened. BIG MISTAKE! Being the religious lady she is she went to the church and had the guy with the collar bless a container of holy water. She then went to the house and said a prayer and placed a drop of the so called holy water in every corner of every room including closets and bathrooms.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

P.S. I swear I saw the Grim Reaper on the edge of the road in front of a corn field on the way up to my friends cottage. Only thing is I was pissed drunk in the passenger seat so it may not have been real.

We've had so many deaths on our street, I'm convinced our block is cursed and haunted. I've always been uneasy outside at night.
