Changing battery

in an Audi A4. The stores all say professional installation required. I watched a video of how it's done. It's not difficult the way it looked in the video. Is there something you have to do with the computer when you change batteries?

Many newer cars use the ecu to control alternator output. An algorithm considers battery discharging characteristics over time and adjusts charging voltage to maximize its life.

Modern scan tools like this one can be used to reset the algorithm when you install a new battery. Check for compatibility before purchasing.

All i can add is look out for smaller battery some have now. I may have seen a dude get lit up from not knowing there was a 2nd battery.

Reminds me of that time my dad tried to use me as a human volt meter to test a coil when I was a kid. Nope, no way, not gonna happen. Already fell for the pull my finger trick
