I didn’t either... during the height of my sickness, the only foods I could tolerate were mostly carbs like rice, pasta, and bread... Other stuff either tasted horrible or made me sick to my stomach.

The one death I know was also in intensive care in two different hospitals. This is what Front Line Health Care workers see day in and day out. If I was exposed to that all the time I'd probably be a lot more careful.

Yesterday I could smell a scented candle burning, but not until I actually saw it. This morning I could smell the MIO berry drink I made. I can pick up a shirt and smell detergent if it is right under my nose. If I don't smell detergent, I assume it isn't clean. Still can't smell cologne or bar soap when I take a shower. As gross a topic as it is...currently "my shit don't stink" at least to me.

Try the "Meathead-Test". I'll buy the plane ticket. Avoid the KoW.

It’s certainly changed my diet. I currently can’t eat certain foods, because as my senses return, some things just taste and smell horrendous to me. I am also eating a lot of things by “mouthfeel.” As stupid as it sounds, corn chips appeal to me right now, mostly for their crunch.

Even the first few wks. after I recovered my tongue/taste buds would almost DECONSTRUCT the food I was eating. Every individual spice, etc...I would taste each individually vs all of them together. A very weird experience.

Very disgusting bowel movement comment below. Do not highlight or read if squeamish, but related to Covid.

The diarrhea that is also a symptom was bad for a few days. For whatever reason. It felt like fire coming out of my ass. I have never hurt or had such painful diarrhea in my life. It literally would feel like hot fire coming out of my ass and I don't have hemorrhoids or any other problems that would have caused it. It cleared up after I got over it. But, I don't know if the stuff is so bad ass that it causes something in your gut or bowels to do that or what. It was super painful.

It sneaks up on you. I was ill prepared. It's gradual until the day it hits full throttle and you can't get out of bed. by then it's too late to stock up on anything.

Tonight is the first night back to that rest. in 2 months. The food was great and just as tasty before the virus hit me.
