You have exactly $100,000 (or less) to buy a performance vehicle...
...what would it be?
If you name something that costs over $100k, even by $1, you get nothing. You can't research it and option it out. You have to choose something from head knowledge that is for sure priced at or under $100k. What do you choose? Go. |

Wise choice, OR:
1) C7 GS, slap a F-1A 94 on it, still have a little cash left over for full exhaust, upper and lower fuel system, and forged internals 2) Camaro 1LE SS, slap on a Maggie 2650, with the money left everything but the steering wheel can be upgraded 3) Find a used Blackwing CT5-V if your need four doors and enjoy beating on caymans and AMGs 4) Shelby 350GT, add a Whipple, and you now have a GT 500, well almost 5) 2013 ZR1, upgrade the blower, bigger pump and injectors, upgrade the driveshaft and half-shafts, spend some $$$$ on cooling, etc... 6) Caddy V3 if you need four doors, lots of money left for upgrades Yep, stay with GM, default to Ford if you cannot find your car. I did not select a Mopar, as not familiar with them, I think you could find a Hellcat or Demon under $100K, not need to mod at base 800HP. Purposely did not list imports, as I never buy imports, not cars, not beer, only Single Malts. I like modern muscle, not into buying a classic and making it a garage queen, or car show item. |

What age? I have less than 40k total tied up in three performance vehicles. All are from the 1960's, though, so likely are slower than the newest Camry.

Owned all the muscle cars I'll ever want to own, done the Mustang, Corvette and Mopar thing so I would stay American and do this:
https://www.caranddriver.com/cadilla...blackwing-2022 200 mph in a Caddy, that works for me. |

I can appreciate that.
For me… A new F450 Platinum. Probably the same Carbonized Gray Metallic as my F250. Or…keep the F250 and get a Ram TRX for sport. Or… A fully restored vintage pickup truck (40’s-50’s-60’s) with big block running gear. In candy apple red with black leather interior. Probably have Joe Martin build it for me. |

If a pre'68 split window, and if a 21 or 23 window, or even a Westfalia, well over the 100k limit.
When my dad lived in a commune in '69, his girlfriend had a pristine '64 23 window rag top bus. Blue and gray. We took it up to Lassen and broiled in the heat during the summer. Then in the winter on our way up to Tahoe, blew up the engine. Had a new engine installed in Placerville the next day and good to go. LOL... That bus would be 175-200k today. |
