Old buddy was curious if I could put a little something together for his short service in the USN. After reviewing his DD214, not a whole lot earned, but an Honorable Discharge, came up with something presentable.

I registered for Selective Service and all that, probably would have gone to Vietnam, but I was born after the war ended.

I was never even called for a physical. I registered on my 18th birthday, received my card in the mail a few weeks later with the 1-H and never heard from them again. In the two years the lottery was held, I had a high enough number to not be called, I guess.
