How did the GTMS team do at the FSAE event in Michigan? The last I heard/read was something about too much oil in the pan.

I don't even know their final finishing results, but they did get black flagged during the endurance due to oil leakage.

Power train issues, and all the more reason she needs to be the ultimate authority in charge. Bunch of young men with no discipline or work ethic, and yet they still stay in control (I guess feeding alcohol to freshmen helps the votes...). At least GT made it to MI to compete this year. These kids need a grown up, and GWiz is that person.

GWiz just arrived in Columbus, Indiana for her 2nd year of internship at Cummins. She'll only be there for a day for a brief orientation (2nd year) and to pick up her laptop, and then back to South Carolina.

Hey! Sorry for no post. Got up early to tow the 26' trailer with all our shtuff back 13 hours to school and been running back and forth ever since. We were projected to get top 20s if we had finished enduro but when we pulled in for driver change, judges saw oil on our undertray so they pulled us out. Luckily we're thinking the car is okay. We thought there were deformities on the surface of the oil pan that meets up with the engine, and we'll probably still face it off to be sure but apparently the gasket maker we used never fully cured. Even yesterday when they tore it apart, it wiped off with a towel after 3 days. So one of our alumni/PT advisor is thinking it was a dud bottle of RTV. Overall it was a great experience (definitely a learning experience for everyone) and I can't wait to go to the UK in the next couple of months. We had an extremely efficiently running paddock so I'm excited to see how we can improve. I think a lot of the team finally realized how important it is to have the car ready and developed well before race day. Pics to follow when I get on my laptop later today

I ran into that RTV uncuring crap some time ago, I found that the Black toothpaste size tubes at the parts house seem the best....the large caulking gun size crap don't work for some silly reason....
