Had 3 Ford products in the last 20 years here, when I married my wife, she had the first car she ever bought new....a '99 Escort.....went 150k and engine blew BIG time....#4 intake seat, fresh junkyard engine with head reworked and 800 bux spent......a few months later same IDENTICAL failure happened to a friend's wife...same damn car.....single cam 4 cyl......but it happened in a parking lot upon starting...so block damage was minimal, rework the head and replace the piston/rod.....got lucky....

Wife's Escort got rear ended in traffic at 45 mph.....the car did save her life, even though she was rather banged up hospital and a month at home recovering..... next car was a 01 Focus twin cam 2L engine, POS, every damn part on that car has been replaced except the short block and trans....if it moves, it's new to the car.....POS....200k miles.....got more $$ in repairs than we paid for it...2x worth....

We sold her Miata for a Chevrolet pickup, ran into by a hit/run illegal.....bought another Silverado.....same shit, illegal swerved in front of him without looking, figgers....too bad she wasn't killed along with her 3 kids.....

so on to a Y2K Ford F150, 5.4 engine, POS....last straw was the body control computer, and of course the interior is all disintegrated.....junk .....

'body control' computer, really now, a car body is SO outta control you need a damn computer to keep track of it......effing nitwits......

It and me be a lot newer, and I"d have that shit outta there SO fast .....

After buying over 20 new loaded Chevy 4X4 pick ups I went to a Toyota Tundra as my DD for my last two trucks. My last two Chevy s sucked real bad.

My wife followed me and is now on her 3 Rav4 and loves it. No more Chevy s for her either.

I still have one Chevy in the garage, a 15 Vette Vert, but other than that no more GMs.
