Default Wire protection

Need some suggestions for a good way to protect the wires next to headers. Bought a 3' length of sleeving that is thermal insulated and am wondering if this is the best way to go. Any thoughts?

I don't have any protection on my wires and haven't had any problems so I bet the sleeves would be even better. I guess.

Have used sleeving on other rods I've had and worked good. Appearance is a possible issue if the material is fabric and the cut ends ravel. For plug wires it has to be pretty big to fit over boots ? Do some pics...

Plan to use the sleeving on the electrical wires. Have the "Kool-sox" on the spark plug wires. They do a good job there. Just need to keep the wires on the right side off the header.

Don't know the difference between the '09 and the '10, but I liked the shifter in the '09 Z06 I drove. However, I think I still prefer my MGW shifter. Installation should be pretty straight forward. Post how things go with the install.

Talked to my son today. He was 12v product specialist for Circuit City when they went under and he had 7-8 yrs. in their Road Shops. He said the best wire protection out there is sold by a number of outlets and made by DEI. Don't know if the Barn has a vendor or not. I looked it up on line and sure enough looks good. Has an aluminum conduit look....Gene

I bought some black wire loom from local auto stores and they are turning white and the loom near the headers are melting on me after only a few months. I Googled high temp wire loom which is an option but I am thinking of something that looks better. That might be a project for this winter.

I started out with the black wire loom and it melted. Shrink wrap will also melt from the high heat. Have applied the "Thermo-Flex" covering to all the wires and hope that this works. Need something that will last on the track. Will see how this latest venture works on the street and go from there.

Looked at the DEI web site. The product I have ,"Thermo-Flex" is about the same as what they offer. Will have to see how it holds up. Thanks,

Keep me posted. ????Saw a young guy this week that knows you and Mike. Can't remember his name. I've seen him at Ric. Dragway and he is working here in the 'Forge at Superior Auto with a guy named Richie...He is probably in late 20's, heavy build with glasses ???

Doesn't ring a bell. Will have to check with Mike and see what he knows.
