My suggestion would be to find a good welder who will do it for cheap or as a favor. Then buy the welder and let him do it in your garage where your car is apart enough to get to it. Then start learning how to weld, it's fun. If you can't find a friend who has the skills then take the car to a welding shop. They can build your template, fit it and weld it.

Delivered the template to the welder/fabricator yesterday. Today he came over my house and got them welded.
It was a great idea Bryan, Thank You Last edited by PLRX; 11-06-2011 at 7:03pm. |

Most of those scratches are deep. could have been worse, really. -Agree 100% (plus you own a sledge hammer now) -Yes. That thing looks intimidating. On Halloween Im going to open the door for kids with it on my hand. |

Spoke with Van Steel yesterday and amazingly the shock has NO DAMAGE. He offered me
to replace the shield and I asked for a quote and I hope he gets back with me by the end of the week with it. If I was Van Steel or QA1 I would be bragging about my product if it can withstand that kind of test. |

I received the new coilover few days ago. It will be in my house as long we are having this 20-30s weather. Im
beginning to feel the carma after we bothered Sweet with the Canadian cold and snow. Normally its not this cold in December. Now, these are all the key players for this upcoming evolution. Left: New Coilover/shock. Im reusing the Hyperco spring. Center: The driver side coilover with the old ride height Right: The old and damaged QA1 shock fully extended. QA1 fully cpmpressed Damage to the shocks coilovers adjuster threads cylinder. The shock itself still fully functional but, I decided not to gamble. Sweet, we at The Vette Barn wish for you to have a great day and warm weather as soon is "weatherly" possible. |

Done
Installed the new coilovers and today installed the new air dam. I keep holding the possibility of frame damage. It is driving straight and the wheels still straight. Not bad and dont ask me how this vehicle was able to withstand such of impact. |

I know you guys DGAF about this anymore but, here is the summary and the end of it. It may help to anyone that may go over a berm, curb, horse or a crocodile.
Took The Ghost to a collision shop yesterday and there is no frame damage. I will have to play with the coilovers and make the front end even by playing with all corners. I was told to have the rear end 1/2" higher which would improve handling. QA1 provided a reference list for all knob adjustments and it is in detail. Now I have a better understanding in the dual adjusters. It will be aligned within a week and that is the end of "Petes Curve Mishap" Gentlemen, trust me the C4 frame is extremely strong. |

Quote:
When you get it aligned, see if you can't dial some additional negative camber into it. The factory settings are pretty conservative and it will help in cornering to have more. I have the adjustment on my 02Z maxed out, and even with that I am not getting really uneven tire wear. |
