This forum is running 3.8.4 so it may require upgrading to 3.8.7 first and then upgrade to version 5.0.

Just curious if you're willing to share (either publicly or via PM), how much is the monthly hosting cost?

I haven't done anything with vBulletin in the past but I have migrated and upgraded another similar forum before that also runs on Linux and PHP so I'd be happy to help if needed.
