But the two tone seats are a definite WTF were they thinking.


New seats, new steering wheel, padding on the console cover, new tweeters on the dash at the A pillar. From CorvetteBlogger. This is the 4LT interior with color matched stiching.

Technically, they are just a redesign of the existing seats - new foam and covers. My understanding is they can retrofit to a 2006-2011 as well. Changing the frames would have resulted in new crash testing a bunch of paperwork, and since rumors say the C7 hits in two years, the General didn't want to spend the money on the C6.

It'll be interesting if GM offers a "seat trade" for earlier models. If it was economical (less than $1K) I might jump.

I guess. Just with the side air bag and all the frikken electrical connectors-A direct replacement is always a plus. Once the foam inserts come out-I might be able to get a local upholsterer to redo my seats.

I think you'll be able to by the new foams and the seat covers through GM parts.

I've been looking at putting the two tone covers in my 08 and I think the current style covers run about $600-750. Now I'm gonna wait until the foams and covers package for these comes out and see what it will run.
