Some 50 years ago, my folks had a bay side row house at Ocean City Md. and it shared a dock between every other house so 1/2 the amount of docks as houses......and the seawall was some 4-5' high off the normal water, and very often we go out to the house and find the back 'yard' had washed out, but we lucky in that the houses were with VERY deep foundations, so to back fill the silly seawall, PITA, must have done it at least 4x in the years they owned the place......only once on replacing some boards in the seawall though, the wall was made of phone poles stuck in the mud.....and really heavy cross pieces with 2x6 pickets back 1/2 century ago, they meant BUSINESS then.....

Ok, so, it would seem my neighbor does know his limitations. Apparently he is limitless... After the two stuck backhoe incidents, he really got his groove on. He is almost done and it looks really good. I told him to day when I took these pics what a great job he was doing.

But I still think he shoulda gone higher with the seawall....
