I will. I've always wanted to ride on the highways and if it hits us like it's supposed to (they're saying my area just SW of the city is in the 27" range) I'll be all over the roads. Probably be busier helping people out than anything.

Well, it's snowing here and 17* F, supposed to get 3 or 4" and be below zero F tomorrow. We're pretty lucky in the low country here (about 5460' where I live)...we've had about 12.5" of snow so far this winter. In the high country, near Vail, Aspen, Snowmass and Steamboat Springs, they've had 12' or 14' or so...best skiing in years.

I've done that before.

Once the snow emergency is declared, and the only vehicles you see on the streets have a plow on the front, the streets are fair game.
Well, maybe not legally in the technical sense, but the authorities have many other real priorities at that point and would never bother with it.

And unless they're riding one too, there is about zero chance of them ever catching you.

Someone asked me about that and I simply told them that my snowmobile is made to go 100 ON the snow. The cops don't stand a chance. I road the local roads years ago and the cops were giving us thumbs up. Like you said, they'll have plenty of real priorities to deal with.

had a little film of ice on the side window when I left work at 5:30. but I sprayed down the windshield when I got to work so that helped. we will see in the morning with 30+ mph winds and 6+" of snow on the ground.

Only have 2-3 inches as of now and they say we will get 2-3 more.

Went out in shorts and flip flops this morning to pick up the morning paper off the driveway.

Thinking about installing new shocks on the vette this morning and perhaps take it out later for a drive with the top off.

It just started snowing here. The last report I saw before going to bed last night showed up to 24" possible.

We're not supposed to get much more snow here either, but they were only predicting 7" max here as it was.

Shoveled a couple of inches of snow this morning. Not even worth firing up the snowblower.

Barb told me to get a couple of cases of beer on my way home from work. Gotta stock up for disasters, ya know.
