The father of a girl I dated had a Fountain '42 with supercharged 509s.

It was close to the 13gph mark...








....if it was sitting at the dock.



As much as I like racing cars and pretty much anything fast, I was not a fan of 100+ on the water, AT ALL. I hated that damned thing.





Although, as a Purdue grad I do have to say that it's hard not to like a boat with BOILERMAKER across the side of it.
