Media has overblown this just for ratings.

Hurricane Donna was your lesson. Just because it takes 40 years to happen again, doesn't mean you should not be ready to deal with it.

No pansy here, just prepared. Food, fuel and a generator. ( plus a couple EBR's to keep MY stuff )

Yes, the media is a bunch of chicken littles running around saying the sky is falling. They will cry wolf one too many and then blame all carnage on the folks who weren't prepared instead of themselves for playing the rating card too many times.

Preparation is key, but just because Florida is used to getting hammered doesn't mean that the rest of the Eastern Seaboard is not on notice.

Brought The Old Black Car home from the Barn Friday afternoon. Had 44 MPH gusts up there this afternoon... Schools, courts, city offices and just about everything else is closed tomorrow down this way .

Wait, it was in one peice?

Swapped the Vert out of the Duramax, and not sure which one I would have rather driven to work tonight...ok, well I KNOW the Vert would not have made it through the puddles, but the gust were pushin the 2500 around like a toy at some points.

Supposed to get up to 8 inches between today and tuesday. overall not too bad...

However the up to 80MPH wind gusts don't sound like fun.

Been out to inspect the property several times now at work, and even though Sandy does give a good blow job, she has not really gotten me all that wet. I still got 6 hours and 5 inspections left though....

Well this is how we will tell if Sandy is a guy or a lady...if you get 8" you know it is a lady, but if it is an exageration and you only get 4-5", then it is a guy.
