Good choice, you may or may not like the pistol grip. ( personal preference )

Would be a fun toy for sure, I have the 500 persuader and like it. Unfortunatly not good for much other then plinking, zombie/burgler thwarting and looking bad arse.

You'll want a conventional stock the first time you try to shoot more than birdshot through that PG.

If you DO get the pistol grip version, trade out the OEM one for a Knoxx breacher grip.
Keep you from breaking your wrist just shooting the damn thing. Slightly articulated with a shock absorbing mechanism: |

Ya I got mine on sale for around 330 otd at a local place a few years ago. Good value for what you are getting imo. Of course price depends on the version you get.
I must have done ok cause that is what they are running for now. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...ducts_id/47809 |

Remington 870 tactical > Moseburg IMHO.
Keep the pistol grip, best for tight areas around the home. Like mine: VVVV |

The army must use the 500 and 590 for a reason. Although I have heard great things about the 870 rem as well.

They are all equally good, and the only reason I would chose 1 over the other is price. I found an 870 on sale, so that is what I have. |

I have the Mossberg 500a Mil version - collapsible stock with ghost ring sights. It's a blast to shoot.

Bought the 870 a few weeks ago an modded if a tad. Shot pretty much every Round u can buy an love it, but use 00 buck low recoil for HD. Didn't care for the optics I put on so it's front sights now with my TRL2 instead of the TRL1s
