Not this car, but the uncle had one just like it. Pretty bad ass car for a 8 year old kid to ride in, with an uncle who liked to hot foot it...

Gotta go with dad's old Roadrunner.

My uncle had an '89 IROC, red/red, manual, T-tops when it was new. I remember looking at it like it was the coolest thing on wheels.

I was about 17 when my Mom needed a new car. We went to look at a Buick Skylark owned by a doctor who had passed away. Mom liked it because it was red. It was one year old and like new, so we bought it. Driving it home Mom commented that it was kind of jerky when it shifted gears........
Neither the old man or Ma realized what they had bought, but.....I did!
1970 Buick GS stage one 455! 4.10 gears, turbo 400, chrome covers, rally wheels, and dual snorkle scoop hood!
We had lots of fun with that car.....guys would come up beside my Ma and want to race her.....she'd giggle and step on it...nearly scared the crap out of her.

Just like this without the black top.....

1970 BMW 2002. My cousin bought it as a basketcase and it was the first vehicle I ever got paid to work on. I replaced the blown head gasket and received a Craftsman torque wrench as payment. It ran well and I was hooked on fast cars and mechanics. I think I was 17 at the time.

Back in the late 60s, my older brother had a Black 64 Ford Galaxy, 2 door coupe 428 4speed. Traded that for a used '67 Corvette coupe, 427 single 4bbl 4spd muroon coupe with factory sidepipes in late '67. Sold it in 68 and went into the service.
In 69, he bought a '67 Caprice 396 4spd, and traded that a year later for a '69 302 Z28. Blew the engine on the way to Ft. Leguene for 2 weeks of summer camp. Put a new short block in it.
Then the family started in 1971, and he turned into a Dad. Sold the toys, moved to a house on a lake. New water toys followed.

I was 6 years old but remember coming home and seeing my mom's 1970 Dodge Charger in the garage. I was in awe.

My mom had a Pacer when I was little. We all hated that thing but today I wish I had one for bumping around town. Ugly as all get out but a great conversation piece.

My grandfather had a 1973 Ferarri Dino, in British racing green. It was orginally ordered by the Folgers coffee heiress in Spain, where my grandfather was stationed. She never took delivery. He bought it new for $17,000ish dollars. Sold it in the mid 90's. I try to keep in touch with the current owner, I have a delusional dream of maybe one day being able to buy it back into the family.
