I can bring some supplies up through 75. I'm leaving for Georgia on Saturday, would be happy to stop near I10 and 75 to bring you stuff to bring to your friends and family impacted.
Let me know, I can try and source if you have a list??? I can fill my bed of my f150. |

All is well here now. Power back on etc. Rode around some to see damage, and while it is there, I didn't see anything crazy. But, it was a short trip, and I'm sure other areas of the county are worse. Lots of downed trees/limbs, and everyone's yard looks like a disaster area. Very thankful, and I know that many lost everything, so hopefully they can get back to normal in a hurry.

Everything in my area is ok. Anything north of here is probably good too,. If there is no problem on your side near Florida, I would think an easy trip, especially by Sat.

Thank you for your offer- but I'll let you know if I need your help but a this point the stores in my area are open with no road problems. The real problem for me is not materials but getting to them from the west. Lots of traffic problems and closed bridges/road segments. |

For anyone who cares, I’ve texted with Lars a bit and he says all is well aside from some downed trees.

US 90 is open all the way.
So is FL 20. I 10 is closed from mm 85 to well over mm 100. All per FHP. I got two Poulan 18" chainsaws, two extra blades, blade sharpener, 40 gal of ethanol free gas for their generators, bar oil, two cycle oil. That's all they need. I'll leave early in the morning before sunrise. Hopefully traffic won't be too bad. |

Got power back around noon, so I was only without for about 12 hours. One of my coworkers just got power back an hour or so ago, and there are still places in the county that they say will take a day or two. Apparently trees took out several sections. It is crazy when I think that the winds we got which were in the 50 some range busted up what it did, and Florida was taking 150 mph winds. That is insane!

Be aware of your gasoline situation. When we went to check on a relative's house after Hurricane Katrina, coming in from Houston, we were told there would be no gas available after Baton Rouge, in the center of the state. As luck would have it, the house we needed to check on was relatively unscathed, had a few shingles gone, fence down and a neighbor's tree down in the yard. We spent a day and a half cleaning up the yard, then helped one of the relative's friends clean up some tree debris. Left them the extra gas and a tow chain so they could continue their cleanup, since they lived on several acres. |

Yeah, mine too. Other than small branches that would have blown out anyway at some point, I was good. I probably lost some rotten pines on my lower lot, but it is a grown up buffer lot, and I couldn't tell anyway. You could hear limbs snapping last night, they just weren't in my yard.
