Purple Mattress?

~30 years ago I used to have a Simmons Beautirest matt/springs/etc....it was great, but swapped for a waterbed, and should not have, even though that waterbed was great in winter set the thing at 95f...serious....Maryland ....

wish I could at least try that Simmons again.....but they don't seem to make the same thing anymore.....

It was discussed but quickly turned into jello talk...lol. Glad you're liking it! I'm assuming it hasn't started to fall apart?

Well.... Not the 2nd one they brought me. LOL! The first one that was delivered lasted just past the 100-day mark when it started to sag in the middle a bit. I called Purple up and explained what was going on and they had me run a test on the mattress which consisted of using 5 full 1-gallon jugs line up from head to foot in the middle of the mattress. There was a visibly noticeable sag in the middle and they confirmed I had received a faulty mattress. They immediately sent me another new mattress and hauled the old one off (175lbs for the Purple 4 king!) free of charge. We've been on this one about a year now with no issues.

I think what I like the most about the Purple mattress is how cool it sleeps. If you're using the right style of sheets air can easily circulate under your body which drastically reduces the temp. Here in the deep South where I keep the A/C set at 78 in the summer this mattress is a godsend. It really reduced my tossing & turning I was doing trying to find a cool spot.

As stated... the type of mattress cover & bottom sheet you use makes a big difference in how well the air circulates under you. I opted for the the mattress cover/protector made by Purple because it's specifically designed to allow air flow. As for sheets you'll want to use a good quality bamboo sheet set. Thick heavy high thread count cotton/linen sheets don't breath too well.
