Print Email Share Comments Recommend Tweet NEW YORK – A naked, knife-wielding madman went berserk in New York City Tuesday afternoon, stabbing four people, including two defenseless senior citizens.

The rampage took place in the Washington Heights neighborhood of upper Manhattan at about 4:30 p.m. local time, cops and witnesses said.

The man also stabbed himself, police said.

"I saw some naked guy running down the street with a knife, it was five or six inches long, a kitchen knife," said Adolfo Benitez, who works in a building down the block.

Cops grabbed the deranged suspect about 45 minutes later. Three of his victims were rushed to the emergency rooms at two local hospitals.

Another bystander said one of the victims was a grandmother who lived in the same building as the suspect, who police described as a Latino man in his 30s.
